It starts and ends each moment on a whole sentence where it can hear one, a question first. The handles under a moment move its edges.
It does not guess what an audience will do with a clip. Nothing here measures that.
It reads faster than the recording plays: measured at a seventh of its length in a browser on a two-core machine, and a little under half on a 2017 laptop. No phone has been measured. Moments appear once it has heard enough to hold one.

Where your recording goes
Nowhere. It all runs in this page, on your device. There is no account and no upload.
The tool itself is downloaded the first time you use it, from where it is published. Your recording is not part of that.
You can check it: read one recording, then turn your network off and read another. It still works, because by then the tool is on your device.
